Our response to Coronavirus (Covid-19)
From the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have, of course, been focused on supporting our homeowners, guests and staff. Safety has been our top priority, alongside timely information. In a world with so many unknowns, we have cut through the noise to give our homeowners clear, regular and informed communications about the situation, what it means to them, how we’re adapting, and what they need to do to adapt.
We have made sure that we’re always available on the end of a phone or email too, and the feedback from our homeowners has been fantastic – we, and they – feel like our relationships have only strengthened during this time.
And now, with holiday bookings on the up, we are helping our homeowners to make their properties safe and ready for visitors. Our website is ‘responsive’ which means it’s appearance changes to best fit the device on which it is being viewed. We invest in ‘pay per click’ advertising to ensure that our position on Google is good and we work hard to ensure that we are always adding relevant information to our site, which creates a good user experience and also improves our ‘organic’ search engine performance. We also market all our properties on our group website, www.Originalcottages.co.uk.
Our social media audience is always growing as we actively seek to talk to our customers on a personal level to both build awareness of our brand and strengthen relationship we have with our customers.
In addition to our own websites, we pay to list your properties on 20+ affiliate websites, both in the UK and elsewhere in the EU, casting the net further still.
These include: Airbnb, Booking.com, Snaptrip, Holiday Lettings and HomeAway.
Campaigns & Social Media
We regularly communicate with our customers with personalised, targeted emailing, featuring properties, events and special offers. In addition to this with our online blog, we give customers insider news and tips to make the most of their stay with us.
Our Brochure & Other Printed Media
Taking advantage of the significant footfall we have passing our offices, we produce a full colour brochure with high quality imagery of our beautiful properties. This can also be requested online.
We also advertise and showcase properties locally and nationally, from magazines to bus stops, to name just a few!
Advertising & PR
We work closely with our PR agent who keeps us informed of any national and local opportunities for press coverage. We promote our cottages through a variety of targeted advertising in the local and national newspapers, magazines, visitor publications etc. We also work closely with local tourism agencies and a number of oversea affiliates.
We Go To Shows
We attend local, county and national shows, so people can meet us and find out about our properties. We have high quality show displays and we take our magazines and other literature with us, together with great branded giveaways.

2 - Arrange to meet
We would love to visit your property, or arrange a video meeting and tour (whichever is more appropriate) with no-obligation on you at all.
3 - Join our family & receive bookings
We arrange your property setup and once live we launch our marketing activity to secure bookings and generate you income.
