"We had a great time at the Shooting Lodge and would like to congratulate Andrew and his team on making us feel welcome and keeping an really interesting home. The house was clean and the bedrooms kept to a high standard and it catered for all our family needs from the teenagers to the pensioners. We will certainly recommend it to our friends and would definately come again." Ian W, Hoddesdon, April 2010 Thank you very much and also thanks to the housekeeping staff at the house for making us feel so welcome. Tom

Pheasant and partridge are reared on the farm so please keep dogs on leads when walking around the farm

Beccles 1.5 miles, (2.5 km) Lowestoft 9 miles, (15 km) Southwold 13.5 miles, (21km) Norwich 18 miles (29 km) Converted from old farm barns to a shooting lodge, the property offers all the accoutrements a country gentleman or lady might require including an en-suite shower or bathroom for every bedroom, a well stocked bar, a dedicated snooker room and a grand dining room.

Guests can arrange the occasional catered meal or a fully catered weekend with their breakfast ready for them when they come downstairs in the morning.

On the Norfolk/Suffolk border just a mile and a half from Beccles and within half an hour of Norwich, there are many activities available close by including coarse and trout fishing, boat rides on the Broads, clay pigeon shooting and of course trips to the coast at Southwold and Lowestoft.

The southerly Broads are just a mile from the house. Now a National Park, the Norfolk Broads stretch from Beccles to Wroxham and Potter Heigham in the north, with around fifty shallow lakes and some 190 kilometres of waterways and some excellent cycle routes and footpaths both beside the water and across the beautiful Norfolk countryside.

The city of Norwich with its stone castle, medieval buildings and narrow cobbled streets should not be missed. As well as great shops, restaurants and pubs, Norwich is a centre for the arts.
