This elegant barn conversion has been designed for families or groups of friends seeking comfort, space and state of the art accommodation in a peaceful rural setting just a short walk from the water.
Marshlands is set amidst open countryside between Orford and Aldeburgh with exceptional facilities for walkers and cyclists with designated paths and tracks leading from your door through woodland in the direction of the estuary.
Just a couple of miles from Orford, a delightful coastal village, with a fascinating 12th century castle keep, once a major pillar in the defence of the English coast. Across the estuary (just a 5 minute boat ride away) is Orford Ness (an area of historic and environmental fascination run by the National Trust). There are spactacular views from the quay along the coast to Aldeburgh to the north and Havergate Island (a RSPB bird sanctuary) to the south.
Orford has fine cafes, restaurants and lovely pubs, and superb views. It is a wonderful base for sailing and bird watching in the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, ideal for everything from a family beach holiday to an historic tour of Suffolk's finest castles and churches. Outside - To the front of the barn are mature beech trees amidst grassed areas. Shingle paths lead around the barn to

- Overlooking the meadows which lead down to the river there are paths which lead through the woods and over the stream towards the estuary
